This month, partners Amy Siegel and Maya Kopytman spoke at PICA, Western Canada’s premier graphic design conference. PICA brings together visual communicators, educators, students and industry representatives from across Canada to meet and network. Other speakers included Alejandro Paul, Armin Vit, Ilise Benun, Errol Sladanha, Ellen Lupton, Alex Center, Daniel Weinand, Bernard J. Canniffe, Maggie Macnab and Johnathon Strebly. Partner Maya Kopytman (left) shared the panic and the pleasure of doing a new project type for the first time, in a short timeframe, on a tight budget, and making it work. She revealed the ideas behind the creation of a series of interactive motion graphic sequences to accompany a live orchestra performance for Caminos Del Inka. Partner Amy Siegel (right) talked about C&G’s Yankee Stadium project and what it took to create a multi-million dollar branding, environmental graphics and museum program for the New York Yankees, one of the most successful baseball franchises in professional sports history.
