A catalog for an exhibition of young artists working in representational styles, for one of the most influential museums in the world.
The Museum of Modern Art’s exhibition “Drawing Now: Eight Propositions” featured the work of fashionable younger artists working in a wide variety of scales and mostly representational styles. The catalog sought to reflect the intent and substance of the show. The cover, with the title printed on a clear plastic sleeve, features the work of all 26 artists, in the order that they are seen in both the exhibit and the book. To give the reader some visceral sense of the scale of the actual pieces, details of the larger works are reproduced at actual size.
